New energy vehicles become international transportation
As the world's largest exporter of new energy vehicles, China's new energy vehicle exports in the first three quarters performed well, with a year-on-year growth of more than twice to 389000 vehicles. With the support of China Europe Express, China's new energy vehicles will undoubtedly be able to move faster to the world on the wheels of the steel "camel train". At the same time, the excellent performance of new energy vehicles has also made them "hot cakes" in other international logistics and transportation tracks.
First railway in many places
On September 29, the Chang'an Ship carrying Smart Spirit # 1 started from Xi'an International Port Station. This is the first time since the opening of the China Europe train to load Xi'an made new energy vehicles for export to Europe. On October 15, Chang'an arrived at Duisburg Station in Germany. On October 24, the first batch of smart genie # 1 completed all customs clearance procedures and waited for delivery to customers.
On October 20, a China Europe train loaded with Nio started from Chengdu International Railway Port. The train leaves the country through the port of Horgos and arrives in Hamburg, Germany, with an estimated transportation time of about 15 days. This is the first time that domestic new energy vehicles are exported to Europe by Chengdu China Europe Train.
Li Junfeng, deputy general manager of Chengdu International Railway Express Co., Ltd., said that Chengdu China Europe Express will also ship new energy vehicles of Volkswagen, Honda, Ford, Polar Star and other brands in succession, realizing the normalized transportation of two new energy vehicles a week.
On October 24, at Zhengzhou International Land Port, a China Europe train (Zhongyu) loaded with new energy vehicles drove out of Zhengzhou Central Station of China Railway Containers, and left the country via Alashan Pass to Minsk, Belarus. This is the first time that China Europe Express (Zhongyu) has carried new energy vehicles for export to Europe. The domestic new energy vehicle brands carried include Hongqi, Xiaopeng, Landu, etc.
Recently, the first batch of "Made in Chongqing" new energy vehicles declared in the form of "railway transportation" completed customs clearance, loading and departure under the supervision of Yuzhou Customs under Chongqing Customs in the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park located in Shapingba District. This is the first time for Chongqing customs area to export new energy vehicles through China Europe Express (Chongqing).
China Railway Group follows the trend of opening up the railway transportation of new energy vehicles, which naturally stems from the performance of Chinese vehicle enterprises in accelerating their sea going. According to the data provided by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the export volume of new energy vehicles in the first three quarters was 389000, with a year-on-year growth of more than 100%. The latest statistics of the General Administration of Customs also showed that China's automobile exports from January to September were 259.84 billion yuan, up 67.1% year on year, which was a bright performance.
With the continuous improvement of technology and national support for the new energy vehicle industry, China's new energy vehicles have the first mover advantage. The advantages of new energy vehicles in economy, environmental protection and other aspects further support the "rooting" of Chinese brands overseas and help China's auto exports continue to heat up.
The choice of China Europe regular train transportation is the result of the cost performance comparison with sea transportation. Although the freight price of sea containers is slightly superior, the transportation time cycle of several months and the uncertain arrival date are all subtractive items for automobile transportation, while the transportation time of China Europe Express is only about one week.
In Chongqing, where the automobile industry is an important pillar industry, with the accelerated pace of industrial transformation and upgrading, the export volume of new energy vehicles is also growing rapidly, so it is urgent to find a more convenient transportation mode.
"Compared with traditional sea transportation, the stability and safety of China Europe regular train transportation are more guaranteed, and it has more advantages in meeting the import and export of goods with high added value and strong timeliness, such as new energy vehicles." Yi Mingxing, business manager of Chongqing Xingou Customs Declaration Service Co., Ltd., told the reporter that Yuzhou Customs had held several seminars for customs enterprises to publicize relevant policies, and encouraged automobile enterprises to export new energy vehicles through China Europe regular train (Chongqing) transportation. "Considering the factors such as logistics cost and time in transit, the export of each vehicle can save 8%~20% of the comprehensive cost."
"Smart is actively laying out the two major mainstream markets of commercial vehicles in China and Europe. This time, Chang'an arrived in Europe with a brand new Smart Smart # 1, providing us with a convenient and efficient international logistics channel, which will help Smart accelerate its expansion into the European market." Tao Peng, vice president of manufacturing of Smart, also has high hopes for the future prospects of new energy vehicles for China Europe scheduled transportation.
Of course, with the continuous growth of China's automobile exports, operators have also been working hard on other tracks.
On October 24, China Merchants Energy Transportation Co., Ltd. (CMES) issued a suggestive announcement on the transfer of domestic trade to foreign trade of some ships of the ro ro fleet of automobiles. Some analysts believed that CMES made preparations for entering the field of international automobile transportation.
It is reported that this subsidiary of China Merchants Group has completed the transformation of its "Changtaihong" ship built in 2009, and has obtained the international route inspection certificate issued by China Classification Society on site. It is expected that the foreign trade will be officially put into operation in the near future after the completion of the follow-up international operation filing and other procedures. "At present, the total volume of China's automobile exports has exceeded Germany, becoming the world's second largest automobile exporter, second only to Japan." A person from China Merchants Energy Transportation Company said that with the rapid growth of transportation demand, corporate customers have been striving for additional transportation tonnage to meet the needs of business development.
