China Laos Kunming/Vientiane Railway, or "China Laos International Railway Corridor", or "China Laos Railway" for short, is an electrified railway connecting Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China, with Vientiane City, Laos. It was built by China according to the national railway grade I standard , and is the first transnational railway invested and built mainly by China, jointly operated, and directly connected with China's railway network.
The China Laos Kunwan Railway consists of Kunyu Section, Yumo Section, and Mowan Section. The Kunyu Section runs from Kunming South Station to Yuxi Station, with a total length of 79 kilometers and a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour; The Yumo section runs from Yuxi Station to Mohan Station, with a total length of 507 kilometers and a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour; The Mo Wan section runs from Mo Ding Station to Vientiane South Station, with a total length of 418 kilometers; Design speed 160 km/h.
