1. The general process of import by sea: The consignee prepares the import documents → arranges overseas booking → changes the order after the goods arrive at the port → declares for inspection → declares at customs → handles the equipment handover form → picks up the box → picks up the goods, The domestic consignee first confirms the purchased goods, confirms the trade contract with foreign countries and confirms the trade terms. The common trade terms are EXW and FOB. EXW means that foreign factories only deliver goods, do not arrange transportation, and need to go through domestic receipt The person has the full authority to arrange the import transportation and customs declaration. FOB means that the foreign factory will deliver the goods to our designated warehouse abroad, and the domestic consignee will arrange the booking for shipping to the country.

2. The import operation process is detailed as follows:

1. Obtain the necessary documents The consignor contacts foreign customers to obtain bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and non-wooden packaging certificates or fumigation certificates when necessary. After receipt, provide the freight forwarder with a full set of import documents including the contract (general trade).

2. Exchange order The freight forwarder checks out the carrier of the cargo, the shipping agent and the place where the order is changed. And take the bill of lading to the shipping company to exchange the bill of lading. Follow up with the station and confirm the pick-up fee, unpacking fee, loading fee, and emptying fee.

3. Import commodity inspection Through the customs commodity code book, it can be confirmed whether the goods in this ticket need commodity inspection. Imported goods that need to be inspected in advance must go to the Commodity Inspection Bureau for commodity inspection. The commodity inspection also needs to be carried out as soon as possible, generally after the commodity inspection.

4. Import declaration The freight forwarder prepares correct declaration information based on the customs declaration information provided by the consignor and the container number and seal provided by the yard or trailer. The declaration materials include: invoice, packing list, bill of lading exchanged from the shipping company, power of attorney for customs declaration, customs declaration form for imported goods, commodity inspection, animal and plant inspection, etc.

5. Invoice payment If the imported goods in general trade are subject to import duties, the payment shall be made in the form of a check. After the customs issued the payment form, they had to issue a check to pay the customs duties. Generally, you go to the Bank of China. After paying the customs duties, the bank will stamp the bank's stamp on the payment certificate.

6. Customs clearance Hand over the tax-paid payment letter to the freight forwarder, and the freight forwarder will contact the customs for customs clearance and release. That is, one release.

7. Pick up the cabinet After the deposit is completed and authorized by the shipping container management department, go to the import container release post to go through the formalities of picking up the container, receive the container equipment handover form, and check whether the content is correct. After the consignee unpacks the imported goods, return the empty box to the designated return location. After the empty container returns to the designated storage yard, the consignee shall go to the container management department to handle the settlement procedure of the container fee in time with the proof of deposit.

8. Pick up the goods The freight forwarder or consignee contacts the trailer to pick up the goods at the wharf or station designated by the freight forwarder based on the documents and information.
